Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior UI/UX and Visual Designer to join our energetic team, playing a crucial role in shaping the design vision and UI/UX strategy for various federal and commercial clients. This position provides opportunities to engage in projects involving cutting-edge technologies such as identity intelligence, AI/ML, immersive and augmented reality, virtualization, and digital transformation. The successful candidate will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, building user-centric designs within an Agile framework to enhance user satisfaction and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement visual styles and UI/UX strategies matching project objectives.
• Generate creative design solutions to fulfill the requirements of users and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and responsive designs adaptable to multiple platforms and screen sizes.
• Construct personas, user journey maps, and content flows to guide design decisions.
• Maintain design documentation including style guides and libraries to ensure consistency and accessibility.
• Present design concepts clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Produce detailed, well-organized design deliverables ready for development stages.
• Stay updated on UX and design industry trends and incorporate best practices.
• Work in close cooperation with UX teams, developers, and stakeholders applying Human-Centered Design principles.
• Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, ensuring design output aligns with project timelines.
• Create and refine user personas and stories that reflect accurate user needs and acceptance criteria.
• Engage in iterative feedback cycles and refinement to continuously improve design outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel to translate requirements into practical design solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in UI/UX and visual design roles.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma at an expert level.
• A robust portfolio showcasing user-centered design methodologies.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven success collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to design across various platforms and screen dimensions.
• Skilled in crafting detailed wireframes, prototypes, personas, and journey maps.
• Excellent time management with accurate task estimation capabilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen capable of passing a 7-year background check.
• Availability to work during Eastern Standard Time business hours.
• Residence within the Continental United States; remote work is permitted except for local DC, MD, and Northern Virginia areas.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range from 60,000 to 80,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience.
