Junior Research Scientist

About the Role

SRIRAMCHEM Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., located in Mysuru, Karnataka, invites passionate and driven Junior Research Scientists to become part of their Synthesis R&D division. This role is ideal for fresh postgraduates and early-career chemists eager to build practical experience in industrial research and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct organic and chemical synthesis following project specifications.
• Perform lab experiments and refine reaction procedures for improved outcomes.
• Utilize purification methods including column chromatography, crystallization, and solvent extraction.
• Research scientific literature to find synthetic routes and enhance processes.
• Assist in characterization using instruments such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS, NMR, FTIR, and UV.
• Keep detailed laboratory notebooks and record all experimental data accurately.
• Generate technical documentation and progress reports for projects.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project teams and provide updates on experimental results.
• Support ongoing development and optimization of methods and processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Master's degree in Chemistry, preferably Organic Chemistry.
• Between zero and two years of industrial or research experience.
• Strong practical skills in laboratory work; freshers with good hands-on laboratory experience are welcome.
• Basic understanding of organic synthesis techniques.
• Familiarity with analytical instruments and characterization techniques.
• Proficient in laboratory documentation practices.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret scientific literature effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a research-driven environment.
