About Crown and the Role
Crown is recognized as Ireland's foremost specialist in roofing, cladding, and façade construction, providing innovative solutions for building envelopes throughout Ireland and Europe. Our client portfolio includes leading names in hyperscale data centres, pharmaceuticals, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and technology sectors, contributing to some of the most prestigious construction endeavors across Europe.
As our European footprint expands, we invite applications for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team on a significant project based in Frankfurt, Germany. This role is site-based and rotational, requiring comfort with travel and temporary relocation accompanied by provided flights and accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in tender preparation and pricing submissions.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities.
- Support interim valuations, manage variations, and contribute to final accounts.
- Assist in procurement activities and supplier negotiations.
- Track project costs, budgets, and cash flow effectively.
- Maintain accurate commercial documentation and on-site records.
- Help manage subcontractors and oversee payment applications.
- Contribute to value engineering and initiatives aimed at cost savings.
- Collaborate with Commercial Manager, Project Managers, and site teams closely.
- Carry out site measurements and assess project progress.
- Ensure timely and precise upkeep of contractual documents.
- Support commercial project delivery from inception to completion.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
We seek motivated and ambitious individuals enthusiastic about developing a sustainable career in Quantity Surveying.
- A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related construction field, or relevant professional experience in the construction industry.
- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
- Possession of a valid driving licence.
- Willingness to undertake rotational work away from home in Frankfurt, Germany.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in projects involving roofing, cladding, façades, or building envelopes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project or other commercial software tools.
