Role Overview

This entry-level role as a Junior Payment Operations Associate involves supporting the execution and integrity of daily payment activities. You will play a vital part in ensuring payment transactions are properly recorded, tracked, and documented within the financial operations of the organization. This position is suited for individuals beginning their career journey in finance or payment-related fields within an international e-commerce context.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily banking and payment transactions using financial software.
• Track and oversee incoming and outgoing payments via multiple payment channels.
• Detect and analyze any discrepancies or payment settlement issues.
• Collaborate with senior staff to resolve payment-related challenges.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all payment processing activities.
• Generate periodic reports detailing payment volumes, process performance, and status updates.
• Serve as an initial point of contact for internal queries related to payments.
• Assist with testing and deploying new payment systems and improvements.

Candidate Profile

• Completed commercial training (such as kaufmännische Ausbildung) or hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Prior experience in accounting, finance, treasury, or payment operations through internships or student roles is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work methodically and reliably.
• Proficient use of Excel and familiarity with financial systems.

• Fluency in German and conversational skills in English.
