Role Overview

We seek a Junior Finance & Strategy Analyst to help develop and scale our finance operations amidst growth. This role surpasses typical reporting and planning responsibilities by directly collaborating with teams across engineering, go-to-market, and operations to influence key decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in fundamental FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI monitoring
  • Create financial models and frameworks supporting teams in engineering, GTM, and product functions
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally with leadership to optimize resource distribution such as headcount and vendor expenditures
  • Coordinate with engineering to organize and review expense data for efficiency
  • Lead specialized analyses on growth metrics, pricing strategies, unit economics, and other strategic projects
  • Contribute to preparation of board presentations, investor reports, and long-term financial plans
  • Manage routine financial activities including invoicing, billing, tax compliance, and collection tracking
  • Enhance finance infrastructure by implementing improved systems, reporting mechanisms, and dashboards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • Up to 2 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance
  • Strong analytical abilities and financial modeling skills; proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets required
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with initiative and a proactive approach

Preferred Experience

  • Previous exposure to startup or rapid growth company environments
  • Experience partnering with R&D or engineering teams in a financial capacity
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS sales and pricing models including credit-based pricing
  • Knowledge of procurement, invoicing, and billing workflows
  • Background working with accounting or ERP systems like QuickBooks or NetSuite
  • Basic understanding of CRM software such as Hubspot
