Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Cyber Analyst to perform all-source intelligence analysis utilizing public, private, and governmental open-source information while following strict security guidelines. This role focuses on examining foreign and domestic open-source material to detect patterns, trends, and relationships, providing actionable insights aligned with defense intelligence priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth evaluations on tactics, methods, procedures, and malware employed by advanced persistent threat actors identified in the National Defense Strategy, assessing threats to USTRANSCOM Command and Control of the Joint Deployment Distribution Enterprises.
  • Create intelligence assessments supporting the Commander's Critical Information Requirements.
  • Collaborate and coordinate assessments with national, regional, and service agencies.
  • Analyze raw and finished intelligence relevant to cyber domain operations, maintaining proficiency in transportation intelligence methodologies and applying them effectively.
  • Utilize established intelligence systems for comprehensive analysis.
  • Deliver analytical products to USTRANSCOM planners, component commands, and other Department of Defense customers in prescribed formats.
  • Disseminate transport-related intelligence data using approved systems and databases.
  • Apply knowledge of the intelligence cycle and Department of Defense directives governing military and cyberspace operations.
  • Identify, coordinate, and update USTRANSCOM intelligence collection requirements supporting Command’s Critical and Priority Intelligence Requirements.
  • Develop Essential Elements of Information based on Priority Intelligence Requirements to guide collection efforts.
  • Track intelligence reporting to verify fulfillment of USTRANSCOM’s needs and provide feedback through established channels.
  • Identify gaps in intelligence and submit collection requests to close these gaps, both standing and ad hoc.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in cyber or intelligence analysis.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree may be accepted in lieu of professional experience.
  • Must hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph.
  • Proficient in intelligence analysis tools and software for data gathering and assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines and rapid turnaround times.
