Job Overview

Bolsover District Council is seeking a skilled Joiner to join their Housing Repairs team located at the Riverside Depot in Doe Lea, Mansfield Road. This is a permanent, part-time role offering 37 working hours per week with a salary range of 31,537 to 34,434 annually (Grade 6).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of joinery tasks along with basic bricklaying, plastering, and plumbing duties in the maintenance of Council properties.
• Work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team and occasionally carry out basic duties related to other trades within the organization.
• Accept additional responsibilities aligned with the level of the position when required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 qualification in a relevant trade, or an equivalent certification demonstrating practical experience in repairs and maintenance.
• Basic proficiency in literacy and numeracy equivalent to GCSE level to manage work documentation such as timesheets and work tickets efficiently.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and codes of practice to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ability to carry out a comprehensive range of property maintenance tasks including bricklaying, roofing, plastering, and plumbing.
• Capability to flexibly collaborate within a multi-disciplined team structure.
• Must hold a valid full driving license to operate Council vehicles for daily assignments.
