Job description

About the Position

This role involves patching all lifter holes on panels that are unnecessary for handling, moving, or erection before they are stored. It also includes identifying and repairing any damages that occur during the production or handling process. High attention to detail is essential to ensure finished surfaces comply with quality and appearance standards set by the company.

Travel and Schedule

The position requires traveling to various job sites from Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair spalls, cracks, or any panel damage caused during stripping, handling, or loading operations
  • Patch all lifting inserts not needed for moving or erection processes
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the finishing work area
  • Completely remove slurry from brick surfaces prior to washing
  • Apply smear coats on panels requiring such repairs
  • Perform all yard modifications promptly under supervision
  • Remove and replace brickwork flagged by Quality Control for repairs
  • Install hardware specified by engineering according to panel tickets

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred but not mandatory
  • Basic teamwork abilities
  • Capability to comprehend and execute complex instructions
  • Basic planning and organizational skills

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks including occasional lifting up to 75 pounds and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm movements
  • Able to stand, walk, and be mobile for shifts that can last up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts regularly
  • Ability to work safely in environments with moderate to high exposure to risks and hazards
  • Willingness to endure various weather conditions including wet, hot, humid, and cold outdoors as per location
  • Compliance with all required personal protective equipment such as safety boots, glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vests, and hard hats
