Job Overview

The Janitor is tasked with comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within a building or multiple client locations. Duties require adaptability to fulfill the specific requirements dictated by clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Dispose of all waste materials by emptying and cleaning waste containers, relocating waste paper and garbage to designated collection points, and moistening containers as needed.
• Clear and clean ash trays, maintain sand urn supplies, replenishing sand when necessary.
• Dust decorative items such as framed images, charts, and wall hangings.
• Clean air diffusers, ceiling fixtures, partition grilles, and ventilation louvers using damp dusting methods.
• Vacuum mats and carpeted areas including workplaces, lobbies, and corridors.
• Dust and clean office furniture, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and other flat surfaces by hand.
• Wipe and polish metal hardware and bright fittings.
• Clean floor tiles thoroughly and maintain appearance by damp wiping and buffing glass furnishings.
• Clean entryway doors including glass surfaces both inside and outside.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, door frames, light switch areas, private entrance glass, and dividers.
• Sterilize water coolers by washing and cleaning them.
• Sweep stairways and vacuum if carpeted.
• Maintain building floors through sweeping and mopping.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock bathroom supplies regularly.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions effectively.
• At least six months of prior janitorial experience.
