Job Details

This is a full-time evening position based in Allentown, PA, offering $15.50 per hour with weekly payment. The janitor is responsible for general cleaning and upkeep within assigned buildings or multiple client locations. Flexibility is required as duties may vary following client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment properly to avoid damaging floors or other surfaces.
• Clean and monitor restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash bins and, when applicable, operate compactors for waste disposal.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
• Spot-clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing as needed.
• Restock paper supplies and sanitary products.
• Adhere to scheduled housekeeping tasks.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Perform other duties assigned in accordance with work scope or customer requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Experience

• Previous janitorial or cleaning work experience.
• Knowledge of custodial standards and commercial cleaning procedures.
• Familiarity with floor care methods including buffing and waxing.
• Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is advantageous.
