IT Support Officer

Role Overview

This position is a part-time, hybrid opportunity located in Dubai, combining onsite duties with the flexibility to perform certain tasks remotely. The IT Support Officer will be responsible for delivering daily technical assistance to internal users, addressing hardware and software issues, and managing setup, configuration, and upkeep of desktop computers and printers.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to user support tickets and troubleshoot connectivity and application problems.
• Set up, configure, and maintain desktop computers and peripheral devices, including printers.
• Conduct routine system checks and basic maintenance tasks to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Maintain clear and detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and standard procedures.
• Provide respectful and user-friendly guidance on IT-related matters and escalate more complex issues when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in delivering technical support across common IT environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Experience with desktop computer setup, configuration, and maintenance.
• Knowledgeable in printer support, including installation of drivers and routine upkeep.
• Basic familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and macOS, along with common office applications.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Organized and detail-focused, able to manage multiple concurrent support requests within a part-time schedule.
• Relevant certifications or coursework in IT support preferred; prior experience in IT helpdesk or similar support roles advantageous.
