IT Network and Security Engineer

About the Role

Tradify Business Solutions is seeking a full-time IT Network and Security Engineer based in Doha, Qatar. This position involves managing and supporting the enterprise network infrastructure both on-premises and in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and manage enterprise network devices including Cisco Nexus 7000, Catalyst switches, ACI, and wireless LAN controllers.
• Maintain network performance, perform firmware updates, and administer Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewall solutions while enforcing security policies.
• Oversee VPN technologies such as Cisco AnyConnect and Site-to-Site VPNs ensuring secure remote connectivity.
• Manage F5 load balancers to optimize traffic distribution and guarantee high availability and redundancy.
• Administer Cisco Identity Services Engine for network access control and authentication services.
• Handle networking in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, including virtual networks, cloud load balancing, Cloud Armor, and secure cloud connections.
• Monitor network infrastructure, respond to incidents promptly as part of a 24/7 rotational shift including on-call duties, and produce detailed reports on network status.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation covering topology, firewall policies, VPNs, diagrams, procedures, asset inventories, and disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking components and a solid grasp of routing, switching, LAN/WAN architectures, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, and network security.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools and thorough understanding of networking protocols.
• Preferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, Microsoft AZ-900, and AZ-700, though not mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude, excellent communication skills, ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, and readiness to handle rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities.

Work Environment and Schedule

The role operates on a full-time basis with a 40-hour workweek across five days. It includes participation in rotational shifts ensuring continuous 24/7 network operations and on-call support.
