Job Overview
The IT Instructor will be responsible for delivering various IT modules as part of the Foundation program at the Qatar Technical Institute (QTI) in Doha. The role requires adapting to the institute's dynamic needs while maintaining high instructional standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and teach IT courses in classrooms and workshops, helping students earn internationally recognized workplace IT qualifications.
- Deploy multiple teaching methodologies ranging from presentations to student-centered, inquiry-based approaches.
- Create organized lesson plans with clear objectives and outcomes, utilizing online Learning Management Systems.
- Conduct assessments aligned with the institute's assessment strategy to monitor student progress and uphold standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide a consistent and high-quality IT teaching experience.
- Maintain a customer-oriented approach to ensure learner satisfaction.
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies within the training setting.
- Adhere to all statutory, regulatory, and corporate requirements throughout training delivery.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching IT with English as the medium of instruction.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline.
- Relevant teaching certification such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specializing in IT.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Previous teaching experience in the Middle East region.
- Experience delivering externally accredited qualifications or vocational training.
- Capability to teach additional subjects such as engineering, science, or mathematics as needed.
- At least 2 years of experience designing training programs following BSAT/DSAT model or ADDIE instructional design methodologies.
