Role Overview
We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Commercial Equity Funds team, focusing on investing in venture and growth capital funds that back businesses throughout the UK. The role involves collaboration with Investment Managers and Senior Investment Managers to evaluate new investment opportunities and manage an extensive portfolio of fund investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analyze data to support investment decisions.
- Assist with due diligence, financial modelling, and reporting processes.
- Use tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, Affinity, and PowerBI to maintain accurate records, track opportunities, and aid quarterly reporting.
- Collaborate effectively with teams from Legal, Risk, Operations, Finance, Strategy, and Economics departments.
- Potentially support communications and event activities as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in commercial, banking, or finance environments via work or internships.
- Strong data handling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills to clearly present findings.
- Some financial knowledge preferred or eagerness to develop these skills.
- Interest in technology, venture capital, or financial modelling is advantageous.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a numerical or analytical subject required.

Working Conditions and Location
This is a full-time permanent role requiring 37.5 hours per week with flexible scheduling between Monday to Friday. The position is based in Sheffield or London with hybrid working arrangements, expecting attendance in the office approximately two days per week.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Annual salary up to £39,375 for Sheffield location and £44,625 for London, dependent on experience.
