About the Role
We are recruiting a full-time International Logistics Coordinator to join our Projects team, with a national focus. This position offers flexibility in location—you may work from any of our branches or from home. Reporting to the Projects & Indent Manager, you will oversee the flow of imported and indent materials originating from overseas mills to our branches and project sites. Your responsibilities include coordinating with freight forwarders, managing shipping schedules, handling customs clearance, and ensuring timely delivery so that project materials arrive complete and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the shipment of international goods, coordinating freight forwarders, transport, and shipping to ensure on-time delivery aligned with project schedules.
- Prepare, review, and verify shipping documents, Incoterms, and customs clearance requirements to secure compliance.
- Collaborate intimately with Project, Procurement, and Sales teams to synchronize material arrival with project demands.
- Monitor progress of shipments, proactively identify delays, and communicate status updates to all stakeholders.
- Confirm deliveries against purchase orders for quantity, grade, and documentation accuracy; resolve any inconsistencies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with overseas suppliers, forwarders, and carriers to enhance logistics performance.
- Seek continuous improvements in freight costs, reliability, and delivery lead times while maintaining accurate logistical records.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should bring practical experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, importing, or supply chain management; experience in steel, metals, or industrial goods sectors is advantageous but not essential. Understanding of shipping documentation, Incoterms, and customs procedures is important. We prioritize candidates with strong organisational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure. Clear communication and a results-driven approach to shipment ownership are essential.
