Job description

Role Overview

Based in Dublin with occasional travel to regional Excel Recruitment offices, this role reports to the Head of HR, Learning & Development. Excel Recruitment is looking for a knowledgeable Internal Trainer who will create and deliver effective training programs across its group. The position requires a recruitment professional experienced in training, coaching, system adoption, or sales enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct training in-person, online, and through personal coaching sessions.
  • Design a comprehensive training curriculum for all employees, including onboarding for new hires.
  • Create various learning aids such as instructional videos, guides, process flowcharts, checklists, and quick-reference sheets.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized recruitment processes, workflows, and data quality requirements.
  • Track adoption of systems, training completion rates, and identify frequently occurring user mistakes.
  • Provide refresher courses and remedial sessions when training deficits are detected.
  • Collaborate with Operations to communicate updates in systems and procedural changes effectively.
  • Deliver recruitment training covering sourcing, screening, vacancy qualification, business development, client and candidate relations, interview preparation, shortlisting, offer handling, compliance, and recruitment best practices.
  • Develop recruitment playbooks and enforce uniform operational standards.
  • Offer desk-side coaching, workshops, call evaluations, and targeted performance clinics.
  • Analyze system data and collect managerial input to pinpoint training needs.
  • Assist in crafting digital learning tools and incorporating AI-supported educational resources.
  • Generate reports on training participation, system usage, capability gaps, and improvements.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous recruitment industry experience.
  • Proven track record in training staff, coaching, or staff development.
  • In-depth understanding of recruitment workflows and sales processes.
  • Experienced in supporting CRM or technological system adoption.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation capabilities.
  • Ability to clarify complex procedures and technology clearly.
  • Organised with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Pragmatic, proactive, and commercially aware approach.
  • Willingness and ability to travel between company offices.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Background in developing structured training programs or learning pathways.
  • Knowledge of Access or other recruitment CRMs.
  • Experience creating video content, online modules, or other digital learning assets.
  • Familiarity with AI, call analysis tools, or learning technology platforms.
  • Utilizing performance data to identify employee development needs.
