About the Role

The Miami HEAT and Kaseya Center are seeking a part-time Event Services Intern to support the Event Services Department with organizing various events including concerts, family shows, Miami HEAT games, and smaller functions like meetings, trainings, tours, camps, rehearsals, and the Court of Dreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior staff with reviewing event booking forms and preparing event worksheets as directed by the Sr. Director of Event Services.
  • Help prepare estimates and finalize invoices for smaller events such as tours and camps.
  • Support coordination for VIP parties, event sponsorship activations, radio placements, and concourse setups.
  • Manage dressing room arrangements between the venue and performers.
  • Create and deploy event-specific signage and fulfill other event-related duties as needed.
  • Conduct thorough venue walkthroughs to verify proper setup and ensure safety standards for guests.
  • Provide assistance for concerts, family shows, HEAT games, meetings, trainings, rehearsals, and other special events as assigned.
  • Collect, organize, and verify event data for accurate departmental reporting.
  • Analyze past event data to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Support the development of standardized templates, checklists, and reporting tools to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Maintain and communicate an updated monthly conversion calendar tracking all major arena event setups and teardowns.
  • Perform audits and maintain inventory of department equipment and operational resources.
  • Complete daily administrative tasks and special projects as assigned, managing multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Availability from September 2026 through March 2027 for the duration of the internship is mandatory.
