Job description

About Zamanat

Zamanat is a platform aligned with Sharia principles that enables the tokenisation of real-world assets. It facilitates the structuring and tokenisation of assets such as funds, private credit, real estate, and receivables. These tokenised assets are then distributed via institutional, private wealth, and on-chain channels. The company is currently developing the commercial strategy for its inaugural fund alongside related asset-backed mandates.

Role Overview

The position entails a direct, action-driven role focusing on generating demand for Zamanat's tokenised investment offerings. The responsibilities include managing two distribution channels simultaneously:

  • Traditional distribution channels involving GCC family offices, high-net-worth individuals, Islamic investors, private banks, wealth management platforms, Takaful operators, awqaf, and select institutional investors.
  • Web3 distribution channels comprising digital asset managers, crypto-native funds, on-chain treasuries, regulated exchanges, OTC desks, custodians, tokenisation platforms, and liquidity partners.

This is distinct from a typical sales leadership position; the candidate will actively generate leads, validate prospects, initiate strategic connections, support product positioning, and convert discussions into subscriptions, mandates, or partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage a qualified prospect pipeline across GCC and Web3 investor segments.
  • Initiate and cultivate engagements with family offices, institutional investors, digital asset managers, exchanges, OTC operators, and custody service providers.
  • Assist in distributing Zamanat's upcoming fund and expanding tokenised real-world assets offerings.
  • Advance initial contacts towards formal next steps, including due diligence, term sheet negotiations, subscriptions, mandates, or partnership agreements.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and structuring teams to refine investor materials, product positioning, and go-to-market tactics.
  • Ensure diligent CRM management, accurate meeting documentation, pipeline tracking, probability assessments, and weekly reporting.
  • Gather and relay market insights about ticket sizes, investor interests, objections, liquidity expectations, fee parameters, and Sharia compliance requirements.
  • Represent Zamanat at investor conferences, industry events, and partner meetings.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings 8 to 12 years of expertise in institutional sales, business development, investor relations, capital raising, private banking, wealth management, fintech, digital assets, or fund distribution. They should maintain active, practical relationships in at least one of the following markets:

  • GCC family offices, HNWIs, and private wealth channels.
  • Islamic investors, Takaful sectors, awqaf, or Sharia-focused allocators.
  • Banks, wealth platforms, asset managers, or institutional investors.
  • Digital asset managers, cryptocurrency funds, exchanges, OTC dealers, custodians, tokenisation services, or blockchain-based treasuries.

Experience in successfully raising capital, expanding assets under management, closing revenue-generating partnerships, or originating mandates is essential. The role requires credible communication regarding funds, tokenisation, custody services, private market instruments, investor onboarding, and Sharia-compliant products, although deep structuring expertise is not mandatory.

Required Experience

  • Eight to twelve years in institutional sales, business development, investor relations, capital raising, private banking, wealth management, fintech, or digital asset sectors.
  • Proven success in capital raising, asset growth, revenue generation, mandate acquisition, or partnership closing.
  • Active, existing networks within GCC investors, institutions, or Web3 distribution ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of market segments including private credit, real estate funds, structured products, tokenised assets, digital asset custody, exchanges, OTC transactions, or fund distribution.
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments such as ADGM, DIFC, DFSA, FSRA, or VARA.
  • Strong skills in written communication, CRM discipline, and managing multiple concurrent discussions.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Sharia-compliant investment products, sukuk, Islamic finance, or ethical investment screening.
  • Expertise in tokenisation, digital asset custody, exchange listings, OTC liquidity provision, or blockchain-based distribution.
  • Established relationships in regions like UAE, Saudi Arabia, South Asia, or Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Background in early-stage companies, product launches, or market entry roles.

Success Metrics

Within the first 90 days, the successful candidate will have identified key investor and Web3 distribution targets, activated top-tier relationships, built an active pipeline, and contributed to early fund and mandate marketing efforts. Over 6 to 12 months, expected accomplishments include cultivating qualified capital discussions, initiating diligence processes, closing commercial partnerships, securing subscriptions or mandates, and developing a replicable distribution framework.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive fixed salary package.
  • Performance bonuses linked to assets under management, fee revenue, and successful conversions.
  • Direct collaboration with CEO and involvement in product strategy and fund launches.
  • A unique career opportunity at the nexus of Islamic finance, private markets, asset tokenisation, and Web3 distribution.
