Job description

Overview

We are looking to hire a full-time Infrastructure Field Officer (Corridor) based in Mangawhai or Dargaville, with some work-from-home flexibility. This position is integral to the Roading team, responsible for ensuring efficient corridor access coordination and vehicle crossing management to support Kaipara District's transportation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Corridor Access Requests and Traffic Management Plan submissions, verifying the completeness and compliance of all related documentation.
  • Coordinate authorization processes, monitor the progress of projects, and communicate effectively with contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Process vehicle crossing applications, manage permits, conduct inspections, and finalize approvals.
  • Collaborate with contractors, inspectors, and customers to promptly address and resolve any issues, ensuring smooth project outcomes.
  • Assist with road closure activities, conduct site visits and necessary inspections, and keep accurate records and invoicing up to date.

Candidate Profile

  • Practical and solution-oriented mindset capable of balancing office administrative duties with fieldwork responsibilities.
  • Experience or familiarity with roading, construction, or traffic management sectors is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities with confidence and sound judgment.
  • Self-driven and able to adhere to established processes independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
