Role Impact and Responsibilities

As the OEM Strategy Manager for the India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) region, you will lead innovative growth strategies for our additives portfolio industrial segment. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will develop sustainable solutions to enhance OEM partnerships, align regional plans with global priorities, and accelerate business expansion.

  • Implement an OEM strategy tailored to IMEA by adapting global priorities to regional growth plans.
  • Identify and prioritize OEMs based on strategic alignment, growth opportunities, and localization trends.
  • Act as the main OEM liaison for both regional and international dealings.
  • Incorporate the needs of IMEA markets into global OEM roadmap planning.
  • Establish and nurture senior-level relationships with OEM partners for enduring collaboration.
  • Lead specification, approval, and design-in efforts across OEM platforms.
  • Facilitate localization through approvals, sourcing strategy development, and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to convert OEM achievements into scalable business growth.
  • Coordinate cross-functional technical teams to provide solutions that comply with OEM requirements.
  • Support OEM validation, testing, and qualifications to meet the region's specific needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
  • Between 10 to 15 years of professional experience in additives, specialty chemicals, or industrial materials industries.
  • Experience managing relationships with OEMs in industrial sectors including automotive, machinery, energy, and construction.
  • Proven success in specification selling, gaining platform approvals, and handling long duration OEM projects.
  • Background in multi-country operations, ideally covering the IMEA region.
  • Strong combined technical and commercial insight with capability to communicate value propositions.
  • Adept at navigating matrixed, multicultural organizational structures.
  • Effective skills in stakeholder management, influence, communication, and negotiation.
  • Capability to adapt to varied customer needs and market environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An MBA or another advanced qualification in business.
  • Experience in harmonizing regional approaches with global OEM strategy.
