HVAC Technician

Job Summary

This position involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration systems. Daily tasks include checking the mechanical plant, regulating temperature, and analyzing energy and utility consumption. Responsibilities extend to calibrating control instruments and installing electrical wiring and pipe fittings. Additionally, routine maintenance of pool and spa equipment is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure functionality and efficiency.
• Monitor and adjust property temperatures and analyze utility usage to optimize energy consumption.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters accurately for proper operation.
• Install, test, and repair electrical systems and electronic wiring as necessary.
• Assemble and maintain pipe assemblies, valves, and other fittings related to mechanical systems.
• Carry out routine maintenance for pool and spa installations.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety, security policies, and procedures, including reporting hazards and completing mandatory safety certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality regarding proprietary information.
• Engage with guests professionally and courteously, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Foster positive teamwork and communication with fellow staff members.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and proactively propose methods to enhance organizational efficiency, safety, cost-saving, and productivity.
• Perform physical tasks involving movements such as reaching overhead and below knees, moving in confined spaces, navigating uneven surfaces and stairs, and handling objects of varied weight and size—up to and beyond 100 pounds with assistance.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of hands-on experience in related HVAC roles.
• Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma preferred.
• Licenses and certifications required include EPA Universal Certification, HVAC Certification, and a valid Driver's License.
• No supervisory experience is necessary for this role.
