Role Summary
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions and initiatives at Boss Exports, located on-site in the City of Johannesburg. This full-time position involves managing recruitment processes, employee onboarding, relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws and internal policies. The role includes developing HR strategies, coordinating training and development programs, maintaining HR databases, administering compensation and benefits, and advising leadership on best HR practices. Conflict resolution, fostering an engaging workplace culture, and consistent policy enforcement are key elements of this position. Close collaboration with leadership and various teams ensures HR efforts align with business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Capability to manage essential HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, performance evaluations, and administrative tasks.
- Expertise in creating policies, ensuring labor law compliance, and managing HR-related risks.
- Experience in designing and executing learning, development, and employee retention programs.
- Proficiency with HR information systems, accurate record-keeping, reporting, and productivity software like Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation talents to build trust and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management abilities in fast-paced environments.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related fields; HR certification is a plus.
- Relevant prior experience in senior HR roles preferably in logistics, export, or related industries.
- Dedicated to applying inclusive, ethical, and non-discriminatory HR practices.
