Overview
This role involves supporting the Human Resources department by managing employee relations issues, assisting leadership with HR matters, and ensuring compliance with hiring and recruitment regulations. The position demands meticulous maintenance of employee records and effective communication with staff regarding policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and monitor employee relations issues, handling resolutions and follow-ups
- Support management and leadership in resolving human resource concerns
- Ensure hiring and recruitment processes comply with local, state, federal laws and company standards
- Provide updates to HR management on employee relations matters
- Address employee and management inquiries related to company HR programs, policies, and guidelines
- Disseminate information about employer-employee relations, employee activities, and personnel policies
- Review and maintain accurate employee records including interviews and compliance documents
- Assist with organizing, administering, and scheduling annual employee surveys
- Handle incoming phone calls and manage messages appropriately
- Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff
- Adhere to company safety and security procedures, reporting incidents and unsafe conditions to management
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Welcome guests professionally and adhere to company hospitality standards
- Communicate clearly and professionally with employees and callers
- Foster positive working relationships to support team objectives
- Use computers or point of sale systems to access work-related information
- Perform physical tasks involving lifting or moving light objects up to 10 pounds
- Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least one year of relevant work experience in human resources or related field
- At least one year experience in a supervisory capacity
- No license or certification required
