Role Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) functions as a strategic advisor to leadership teams, aligning human resources actions with business goals to enhance organizational performance, culture, and efficiency. This role provides expertise in employee relations, talent management, organizational development, change management, performance evaluation, and workforce planning.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish trusted collaborations with site leaders to design and implement HR strategies that support business aims both in the short and long term.
  • Monitor and analyze employee engagement, workforce trends, and talent management strategies for regional CenExel sites, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Champion a culture focused on continuous process improvement to strengthen work relationships, operational efficiency, productivity, and staff retention.
  • Leverage data analytics to guide HR decisions and evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Identify employee training requirements and administer relevant learning and development initiatives.
  • Translate corporate strategies into actionable HR plans, securing leadership buy-in and ownership.
  • Influence senior site leadership tactfully on significant business and HR matters.
  • Lead change management initiatives at the site level to foster business growth and transformation.
  • Provide expert employee relations counsel to site managers to ensure legal compliance, coaching, and problem resolution.
  • Support succession planning, performance appraisal processes, and career advancement for critical roles within assigned sites.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to devise recruitment and retention strategies for top talent.
  • Promote employee engagement and a positive organizational culture through cooperation with HR and site leadership teams.
  • Guide the implementation of employment practices that balance operational demands, ethical considerations, and legal compliance.
  • Support performance review and salary recommendation processes aligning with business objectives.
  • Offer input on compensation and benefits policies to maintain equity and market competitiveness.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and leadership skills in both verbal and written form.
  • Partner with management to resolve conflicts and enhance team dynamics.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and best practices.
  • Stay current with HR trends and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ICH, GCP, company SOPs, protocols, and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • HR professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong business insight with capability to synchronize HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Problem-solving orientation and data-driven decision-making expertise, including using HR analytics and reporting tools.
  • A minimum of three years of progressive HR experience, with at least two years serving in HR Business Partner or Generalist roles.
  • Proven leadership qualities adept at driving critical initiatives and collaborating with business partners.
  • Experience coaching and consulting with business leaders on workforce planning and development.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.

Work Environment and Conditions

  • The role primarily involves working indoors in an office setting.
  • Physical activities mainly include sitting, typing, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting items up to 20 pounds.
  • Attendance as per scheduled working hours is essential.
  • Work arrangement can be remote or hybrid.
  • Occasional travel is expected.

Compensation and Benefits

The yearly salary range for this role is between $72,000 and $99,000, depending on experience, academic background, and skills, along with a robust benefits package after 30 days of employment.
