Role Overview

The organization is looking for a detail-focused Cleaner/Housekeeper who is committed to cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention. This position suits someone who enjoys working in a structured environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks while following IPAC best practices.
• Perform routine duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming.
• Remove waste, clean washrooms, and complete cleaning tasks after patient discharge.
• Follow IPAC and company procedures for admission rooms, discharge rooms, and isolation or outbreak-related room and unit cleaning.
• Inspect rooms carefully and make sure they meet required cleanliness standards.
• Protect cleaning equipment and report any deficiencies or damage.
• Escalate damages, shortages, or unusual disturbances to supervisors.
• Respond to reasonable complaints and requests in a patient and professional manner.
• Monitor consumable supplies and replenish them when needed.
• Observe all health and safety rules and company practices at all times.
• Take on other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

Completion of secondary school is preferred, and/or completion of an appropriate Home Support Program. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, or relevant life experience. The job also requires the ability to travel locally between assignments.
