Housekeeper

Role Overview

Evermore Care Homes is seeking a committed Housekeeper for its newly opened Astley View care home located in Chorley, Lancashire. This full-time role involves working 29.75 hours per week on a 2-week rolling schedule, involving dayshift hours from 8am to 5pm. The rota alternates between specific days across two weeks to maintain service consistency.

Work Schedule

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Candidate Eligibility

Applicants must hold the Right to Work in the UK for at least 18 months from their start date, as visa sponsorship is not offered. Candidates not meeting this criterion will not proceed further.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain all designated areas, including resident rooms, communal spaces, offices, and dining halls, to high cleanliness standards, adhering strictly to cleaning guidelines and schedules.
• Ensure adequate stock of housekeeping supplies throughout the service areas and report shortages to the Head Housekeeper.
• Identify and report any damages or maintenance issues to the Head Housekeeper and maintenance team promptly.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Previous experience working within care home environments.
• Understanding of staff supervision and rota management, including team leadership responsibilities.
• Experience with stock ordering and conducting monthly stock audits.
