Job Summary

Oaks Townsville Gateway Suites is expanding its housekeeping team by adding multiple casual roles. We seek meticulous and energetic individuals passionate about maintaining cleanliness and delivering excellent guest experiences in a cooperative workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold exceptional cleanliness standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including precise bed-making, vacuuming floors, and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Efficiently accomplish cleaning assignments within designated work hours.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily cleaning targets and operational objectives.
• Follow established safety guidelines and environmental policies.
• Properly use specialized cleaning tools and products with training and equipment supplied.
• Cultivate professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to promote a respectful and positive work ambiance.

Work Schedule

• Rotating shifts from Monday to Friday;
• Occasional weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays;
• Shift start times between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

Compensation

• Monday to Friday: $33.85 per hour (excluding superannuation)
• Saturday: $40.60 per hour
• Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning is preferred.
• Strong eye for detail with dedication to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic knowledge of safe handling and operation of cleaning agents and equipment; training is provided.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for prolonged periods.
• Clear and professional communication skills for interaction with guests, coworkers, and contractors.
• Effective time management and prioritization capabilities.
• Positive outlook and strong commitment to work ethics.
• Flexibility to work varying hours including weekends and public holidays.
