Hospitality Supervisor - Part-time

Role overview

Retirement Villages Group Ltd is looking for a part-time Hospitality Supervisor to join Roseland Parc in Truro. In this role, you will help shape the dining, beverage, and guest experience across the village, ensuring residents receive a consistently warm and high-quality service. You will lead by example, support the hospitality team, and contribute to a welcoming environment where residents feel valued and well cared for.

The position is for 30 hours each week, spread across 5 days out of 7.

What you will be responsible for

You will oversee the day-to-day running of hospitality services, support continuous improvement, and help maintain a safe, clean, and resident-focused operation. The role also involves supporting commercial performance and working closely with other teams to improve the overall experience.

Hospitality service delivery

• Oversee and review food, beverage, and wider hospitality activities.
• Set the tone for high service standards and coach the team to deliver consistently strong results.
• Spot ways to improve service, introduce better ways of working, and make sure changes are communicated clearly.
• Maintain strong hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance standards in the workplace.
• Support the village in delivering the food and beverage strategy so each resident interaction reflects the organisation's purpose.
• Handle resident questions and complaints in a professional way and use feedback to improve services.
• Build trusted relationships with residents and help create a friendly, engaging village atmosphere.

Team leadership and development

• Prepare rotas and staffing plans that stay within wage budgets.
• Set clear expectations and ensure team members are accountable for their work.
• Assess team capabilities, identify training needs, and support ongoing development.
• Foster an inclusive team environment where people feel respected and able to be themselves.
• Promote a safety-first approach across all hospitality operations.
• Keep informed about industry trends, best practice, and competitor activity.

Commercial and operational contribution

• Share feedback with culinary and management teams to help develop attractive and commercially effective menus.
• Encourage colleagues to engage with new initiatives and help measure the value they bring.
• Use systems and technology to monitor and improve food and beverage performance.
