Role overview
Teem is hiring an ambitious GTM Consultant to join its Leeds office. The firm specialises in recruitment for high-growth, VC-backed AI and SaaS businesses, connecting top software sales talent with fast-scaling startups. This is an on-site role and applicants must already be based in Leeds or within commuting distance of the office.
Compensation
Year 1 target earnings are £32K OTE with uncapped commission. By Year 2, earnings are expected to rise to £40K–£60K OTE, also uncapped.
Who this role suits
Teem is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds. A degree is not essential, though it would be advantageous. The team is interested in people coming from telesales, junior consultancy, or recent graduates. More than formal experience, they value drive, resilience, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build rapport. A strong work ethic, commercial instinct, and perseverance will matter more than a polished CV alone.
Key responsibilities
As a GTM Consultant, you will focus on identifying talent, developing candidate relationships, and supporting the recruitment process from search through to placement.
- Source potential candidates through research and targeted lead generation.
- Engage with senior-level candidates, and later clients, to assess suitability and strengthen relationships.
- Arrange interviews and keep candidate workflows moving efficiently.
- Work closely with the wider team to help deliver strong hiring outcomes for clients.
What Teem is looking for
The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. You should enjoy networking, influencing others, and working as part of a competitive but collaborative team. Coachability and a willingness to learn are important, along with the resilience to keep pushing toward results.
- Driven, ambitious, and motivated to achieve.
- Outgoing, proactive, and able to bounce back from setbacks.
- Confident building professional relationships and influencing decisions.
- Competitive, while still being a strong team contributor.
- Open to coaching and eager to develop.
- Based in Leeds or able to commute to the office.
Why join Teem
Teem offers structured development, with tailored coaching and progression support designed to help graduates reach their first promotion within around 9 months. There is also a clear route into leadership, with current senior leaders having started in graduate roles.
The business is growing quickly, with 113% growth last year, a newly opened Manchester office, an established Toronto office serving the US market, and a newly launched team in Singapore. Most of the business is inbound, and the majority of roles are exclusive or retained, meaning you will work on committed assignments from clients who value the service.
The company also offers team experiences and culture-led perks such as ski trips, race days, go-karting, and other social events. Additional impact-driven work includes CSR activity focused on diversity and rainforest protection. Earnings are further supported by commission and quarterly incentives, including overseas trips; the latest team trip was skiing in Austria.
Hiring process
The recruitment process can vary, but candidates will be given advance notice and support throughout.
- 30-minute introductory call with Penny or Sam.
- 60-minute in-person interview with Penny and/or Sam.
- 60–90 minute panel or presentation with the leadership team.
- Meet the team, followed by a casual social meet-up over a pint.
