Role Objective
We seek a seasoned Group Supply Chain Manager to join our Shared Services division to spearhead the establishment and refinement of a consolidated supply chain framework for all business units. This critical role supervises the complete lifecycle of materials and product flows, encompassing fleet, warehousing, procurement, and logistics functions across Al Emadi Enterprises.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the integration of supply chain operations under a centralized Shared Services model aligned with overall corporate objectives, including overseeing ERP system implementation and instituting a robust KPI system to monitor cost, service quality, and reliability.
- Lead centralized procurement activities to harness the group’s purchasing leverage by engaging globally and locally with suppliers, negotiating beneficial contracts, monitoring supplier performance with scorecards, and building strategic partnerships to mitigate risks.
- Manage logistics and fleet operations emphasizing transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness, maintaining commercial fleets with a focus on utilization, maintenance, and driver safety, and overseeing third-party logistics providers for complex transport requirements.
- Oversee all warehousing functions to maximize storage and handling efficiency, establish inventory targets that balance cost savings with availability, implement advanced tracking systems, and align inventory management with accurate demand forecasting.
Leadership and Collaboration
The manager will build and lead a high-performing team and collaborate closely with the CEO, business unit heads, and finance to ensure supply chain operations meet business needs and foster a culture of operational rigor and accountability.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Possess between 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain roles, including a minimum of five years managing senior leadership responsibilities across procurement, logistics, warehousing, and fleet management.
- Experience in diversified conglomerates or multi-sector supply chains, particularly in retail, real estate, automotive, and hospitality sectors, preferably within the GCC region, notably Qatar.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems and Supply Chain Management Software, financial acumen, and data analytics skills. Industry certifications such as CSCP or CPIM are advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills essential for driving organizational change.
