Grocery Store Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Grocery Store Manager to lead our store operations in Bangalore. The successful candidate will oversee daily store activities, ensuring smooth operation, excellent customer service, robust inventory management, and driving sales growth. This role demands strong retail management experience, preferably within FMCG, supermarkets, food retail, or organic retail sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations to maintain seamless store functioning.
• Ensure full compliance with all company policies, SOPs, and operational standards.
• Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and product presentation.
• Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets through proactive monitoring and strategy implementation.
• Drive initiatives to attract, retain, and encourage repeat customers.
• Lead and motivate store personnel, conducting regular training and performance evaluations.
• Manage staff schedules and attendance effectively.
• Supervise inventory levels, ensuring product availability while minimizing losses and waste.
• Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams for timely stock replenishment.
• Provide outstanding customer service and promptly address concerns to enhance shopper satisfaction and loyalty.
• Implement promotional activities and customer engagement programs.
• Control store expenses, ensure accurate cash handling, billing, and perform store audits.
• Analyze operational metrics regularly and prepare detailed performance reports.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail store management.
• Deep knowledge of retail operations, inventory control, and customer service principles.
• Proven experience managing teams of between 15 and 30 employees.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail POS software systems.
