Job Purpose
The Grants Officer will assist the Grants Director by identifying grant opportunities, facilitating funding acquisition, and managing project execution. This role may also involve leading projects and ensuring that reports for management and stakeholders are accurate and timely.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential funding sources.
- Help prepare and submit grant proposals and applications.
- Ensure adherence to donor policies, requirements, and regulations.
- Coordinate and monitor the progress of funded projects.
- Maintain up-to-date records and documentation related to grants and reporting.
- Compile regular progress and financial reports for management and funding institutions.
- Serve as project assistant on assigned projects.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five O Level credits including English and Mathematics, or a related equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
- Experience in grant writing, grant management, and project proposal development is advantageous.
- Proven track record in securing grants is a plus.
- Membership in a relevant professional body is preferred.
