Role Overview

We are seeking graduate Robotics Engineers, ideally with Formula Student experience, to join our team. Candidates familiar with refining perception pipelines, troubleshooting state estimation on test tracks, and controller tuning will find their skills highly relevant. Our autonomous systems target exceptionally large vehicles operating continuously under extreme conditions such as mining and construction sites, where vehicles often exceed 30 tonnes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AI algorithms enhancing perception and navigation capabilities of autonomous heavy machinery.
  • Process radar, LiDAR, and camera data to create robust perception systems resilient to dust, vibrations, and rugged terrain.
  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and field engineers to integrate developments into the complete autonomy stack.
  • Manage feature development end to end, including design, implementation, testing on actual machines, and iterative improvements.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of or imminent completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Experience participating in Formula Student Driverless teams; leadership experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, autonomous systems, or robotic technologies including perception, state estimation, planning, control, or simulation.
  • Demonstrates a hands-on, proactive approach typical within Formula Student culture, comfortable with hardware involvement and meeting tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++ programming languages.
  • Experience working with ROS 2 (Robot Operating System).
