About the Role

We are a globally connected organization seeking a seasoned Global Communications Manager to lead international communication strategies and elevate corporate messaging across diverse markets. This fully remote, full-time position based in the United Arab Emirates involves directing global communications programs, managing media relations, and ensuring consistency in messaging aligned with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute worldwide communication strategies, including annual plans, messaging frameworks, and reputation enhancement initiatives.
  • Oversee corporate, external, internal, executive, thought leadership, and media communications across international territories.
  • Collaborate extensively with divisions including Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Brand, Marketing, Internal Communications, Government Relations, Investor Relations, Digital, Legal, Human Resources, Business Units, and Executive Leadership to deliver integrated communication programs.
  • Create global messaging standards, editorial guidelines, tone of voice principles, executive narratives, and crisis communication procedures.
  • Align regional and country communication teams to adapt core messaging for local cultural, regulatory, and market nuances while preserving organizational coherence.
  • Manage relationships with worldwide media outlets, journalists, public relations agencies, consultants, event organizers, and strategic partners.
  • Develop diverse communication materials such as press releases, speeches, articles, briefs, newsletters, reports, presentations, and digital content.
  • Lead executive communication efforts including leadership messaging, keynote speeches, town halls, employee communication, media briefings, investor relations, and stakeholder updates.
  • Track global media cycles, coverage, public sentiment, geopolitical trends, industry developments, competitor activities, and reputational risk factors.
  • Formulate and maintain crisis communication strategies, response plans, stakeholder messaging, and escalation protocols to safeguard reputation.
  • Monitor KPIs including media reach, sentiment, message effectiveness, stakeholder engagement, digital footprint, and communication ROI.
  • Conduct communication audits, media landscape analysis, stakeholder research, campaign evaluations, reputation assessments, and message testing for continuous enhancement.
  • Manage budgets, PR agency partnerships, media monitoring tools, content production, strategic collaborations, research efforts, and investments in communication technologies.
  • Champion digital transformation via AI-enabled content creation, media intelligence, sentiment analytics, automated reporting, multilingual content adaptation, and predictive reputation monitoring.
  • Utilize tools such as Cision, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Power BI, Tableau, CMS, social media management, media monitoring, and internal communication platforms to oversee and analyze communication results.
  • Prepare executive dashboards, media and reputation reports, stakeholder insights, crisis updates, campaign reviews, strategies, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop communication specialists, PR professionals, content strategists, regional teams, and multidisciplinary groups fostering a culture of clarity, collaboration, credibility, cultural sensitivity, and ongoing improvement.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, International Relations, English, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced degrees (Master's or MBA) in Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Business Administration, Strategic Communications, or similar fields are preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Public Relations, Strategic or Crisis Communications, Corporate Communications, or relevant areas are valued.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in corporate, global communications, public relations, or strategic media roles, with at least two years leading international communications initiatives or teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of global communication strategies, media relations, corporate reputation management, crisis response, executive and internal communications, stakeholder engagement, and digital media.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms and tools including Cision, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Power BI, Tableau, CMS, social media management, and analytic systems.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven communication technologies, media intelligence, sentiment analysis, generative AI, multilingual content management, automated reputation monitoring, and advanced stakeholder analytics is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional skills in writing, editing, presenting, leadership, communication, stakeholder management, strategic planning, media relations, crisis handling, project management, budgeting, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple global communications projects while maintaining message consistency, respect for cultural diversity, regulatory compliance, media relations, executive priorities, budgets, and timelines.
  • Capacity to efficiently operate within a remote, distributed team environment involving executives, agencies, journalists, government entities, employees, customers, investors, and global partners. Occasional travel for meetings, media events, conferences, corporate functions, market visits, and strategic sessions is expected.
