Role Overview

Based at the Digicom head office in Dublin, with occasional visits to customer locations, the General Warehouse Operative will report directly to the Warehouse Manager. The role involves maintaining warehouse standards, managing stock processes, and supporting logistics operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures.
• Receive deliveries, verify accuracy, and record incoming stock.
• Pick and dispatch stock for installations and service requirements.
• Manage stock replenishment orders effectively.
• Ensure timely and accurate shipping of toner orders daily.
• Conduct routine stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Organize materials storage to ensure safety, orderliness, and efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of warehouse and workspaces.
• Handle preparation of delivery paperwork and documentation.
• Comply with all company and legal Environmental, Health & Safety protocols; operate warehouse machinery safely.
• Deliver or collect items at customer sites when required.
• Assist in positioning large display equipment on site.
• Document serial numbers on dispatched equipment, ensuring correct labeling tailored to specific locations, especially for larger jobs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum two years’ solid warehousing experience with comprehensive knowledge of best practices.
• Possession of a full, clean driving license.
• Valid Forklift Reach license is essential.
• Completed Manual Handling training.
• Proficient at an intermediate level with IT, capable of quickly adapting to new systems.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Qualifications in warehousing or inventory management.
• Familiarity with stock management software.
• Basic understanding of Managed Print Services or Audio-Visual equipment.
• Health and safety training credentials.
• Safe-pass certification.
