Jokot International is a rapidly expanding Indian footwear manufacturer aiming to establish itself as one of the nation’s most admired and professionally managed brands. As Jokot International embarks on its next phase of development, it seeks an experienced sales leader to design markets, nurture talent, implement robust systems, and form a high-performance distribution organization.
Primary Opportunity
This role transcends standard sales positions. The selected candidate will architect and grow a scalable distribution framework spanning multiple states, instilling a culture grounded in disciplined execution, accountability, and sustained relationship building. Collaborations will be direct with company Founders to shape sales strategy, recruit and develop regional teams, appoint distributors, broaden market presence, and secure long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand business through crafting and implementing sales strategies across designated territories (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Goa).
- Identify, select, and onboard high-caliber distributors to develop sustainable dealer and retailer ecosystems.
- Recruit and mentor Territory Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, and Sales Officers to cultivate a performance-focused sales culture.
- Drive retailer growth, ensure product accessibility and visibility, manage new product launches, and observe competitor movements to gather market insights.
- Meet revenue and volume targets, increase secondary sales, optimize sales forecasting, billing, and territory planning.
- Monitor and enhance metrics such as primary and secondary sales, market share, active retailers, distributor ROI, collection efficiency, and monthly growth.
- Collaborate with Founders on strategic and annual business plans, propose expansion opportunities, and establish sales SOPs fostering ownership, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- 10 to 18 years of sales experience within footwear, FMCG, apparel, or consumer durable sectors.
- Expertise in building multi-state distribution networks and managing large field sales forces.
- Strong distributor and channel partner connections with a proven record of profitable growth.
- Exceptional leadership, team development skills, and readiness for extensive travel.
Preferred Industry Experience
- Footwear sectors including sports, casual, EVA, PU, sandals and slippers.
- FMCG, apparel, and consumer goods industries.
