Company Overview
Established in 1967, The Las Vegas Country Club is among Southern Nevada’s most longstanding private clubs. Situated close to the Las Vegas Strip, it provides championship golf, high-quality amenities, and an active social setting for members and visitors.
Role Overview
The club is looking for a seasoned, energetic General Manager to direct every part of club operations and shape the member experience. This senior on-site role oversees golf operations, food and beverage, clubhouse activities, facilities, membership services, budgeting, staffing, and long-term planning.
The right candidate will bring a strong background in hospitality and private club leadership, excellent communication ability, and a commitment to creating excellent member experiences while keeping finances disciplined and operations running efficiently.
Core Duties
- Direct day-to-day operations across golf, food and beverage, clubhouse functions, facilities, events, and member services.
- Create and implement operating plans that improve member satisfaction and support profitability.
- Hire, coach, manage, and assess department managers and team members.
- Build and oversee annual operating budgets along with cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain positive member relations and remain a visible, accessible leader throughout the club.
- Monitor adherence to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Plan and supervise member events, tournaments, social programs, and other club activities.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have leadership experience in a private club, country club, resort, hospitality setting, or a closely related environment. Experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Golf Operations, or in a similar senior leadership role is preferred.
Strong understanding of golf club operations, food and beverage management, budgeting, and member service is important, along with demonstrated success in managing teams across multiple departments and controlling operating budgets.
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with ownership, members, staff, and vendors.
Preferred Background
Experience in private country club management is a plus. Additional value is placed on candidates who have led clubhouse renovations, capital improvement efforts, or facility upgrade projects. Familiarity with member-owned, privately owned, or investor-owned club structures, along with knowledge of golf operations and tournament planning, is also preferred.
Compensation
The compensation package, including salary and benefits, will be aligned with the selected candidate’s experience. Performance-based bonus opportunities are also available, subject to achievement of club goals and objectives.
