General Labourer

Overview

Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the General Labourer is responsible for packing, tying, labeling, counting, and identifying wood products using a variety of handling equipment. This role requires maintaining an efficient, safe, and clean work environment while supporting customer service commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment designated for stacking wood on the production line.
• Manually tie, wrap, and occasionally stack wood products.
• Keep the workstation orderly and clean to ensure a safe working area.
• Adhere strictly to safety policies and workplace regulations.
• Uphold high standards in customer service.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Ability to count and distinguish various sizes of wood products accurately.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Physical capability to lift loads up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms).
• A personal pair of steel-toed safety boots is mandatory.
• High school diploma considered an asset.
