General Accountant

As a General Accountant based in Lusail, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting reporting activities within a dynamic e-commerce and logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring clean and precise records to facilitate prompt month-end closing processes.
• Apply three-way matching concepts and collaborate with teams to address and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Accurately process vendor invoices within the ERP system, verifying approvals and completeness.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and develop automation tools and dashboards aimed at reducing manual workload.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports for management review and audit compliance.
• Ensure adherence to internal control policies and maintain thorough documentation within the ERP system.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Have between three to five years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within e-commerce or logistics sectors.
• Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Proficiency in using ERP software such as Odoo or equivalent platforms.
• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and sound business judgment.

Additional Advantage

• Experience handling inventory accounting is considered a plus.
