GeM Consultant

About the Role

The GeM Consultant will be responsible for overseeing Skillnet Learning's complete operations on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform. This includes managing vendor registration, keeping the product and service catalogs current, bidding on relevant tenders, and tracking order fulfilments while ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and continuously update Skillnet Learning’s GeM seller profile with registrations, KYC documents, and regular compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed and optimized listings for courses, certifications, and training programs on the GeM catalog, ensuring accuracy in specifications and price points.
• Monitor active bids and tenders suitable for Skillnet Learning’s offerings, preparing well-composed responses that meet deadlines and compliance rules.
• Keep track of direct purchase, L1, and reverse auction opportunities, collaborating with sales and finance departments to determine competitive pricing strategies.
• Ensure all operations align with GeM portal guidelines, General Financial Rules (GFR), and government procurement policies, while maintaining necessary documentation for audit purposes.
• Oversee order confirmations, invoice generation, coordination for timely delivery, and manage any grievances or disputes raised through the portal.
• Generate management information system (MIS) reports detailing bid success rates, order pipelines, revenue from GeM activities, and overall portal performance for leadership review.
• Interface with government buyer entities, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and GeM support teams to troubleshoot any registration, payment, or listing complications.
• Keep abreast of updates in GeM policies, procurement circulars, and sector-specific norms; communicate relevant changes to internal teams for timely action.
