Role Overview

This full-time remote position as Founding CTO involves shaping and executing the technological vision of Cruq AI. The role requires responsibility for the comprehensive architecture and technical strategy of AI agent products, emphasizing scalability, reliability, and security. It includes leading engineering teams, defining development standards, and overseeing the entire software lifecycle from research to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with leaders in product, business, and data science to set priorities and align technology roadmaps with corporate objectives.
• Build and nurture a high-efficiency engineering culture with a focus on mentoring team members.
• Participate actively in fundraising efforts, partnership development, and conducting technical due diligence with clients and investors.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• Extensive software development expertise, particularly in building and scaling AI or data-intensive production platforms.
• Demonstrated success in product lifecycle management from initial concept through MVP to ongoing improvement.
• Strong IT strategic planning and technical leadership capabilities aligned with business goals.
• Robust knowledge in designing cloud-native architectures that are secure and highly available.
• Proven project management skills involving planning, prioritization, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Experience leading engineering teams using inclusive and transparent management focused on outcomes.
• Proficiency with modern AI/ML technology stacks, data platforms, and relevant programming languages and frameworks.
• Ability to thrive in an early-stage startup environment by embracing ownership, operating with minimal structure, and adapting quickly.
• Academic background with a bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable practical experience.
