Food Runner

Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Food Runner position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The primary responsibility involves ensuring quick and precise delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests. The Food Runner works collaboratively with servers and kitchen personnel to verify each dish for correctness and presentation quality before delivering to appropriate tables while upholding excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of food orders to diners.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to confirm order accuracy and proper presentation.
• Support expeditors during peak service times to maintain smooth kitchen-to-table flow.
• Restock service stations and maintain cleanliness and organization in service areas.
• Assist with clearing tables and promptly respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Communicate special dietary requirements or order modifications effectively to the kitchen team.

Candidate Qualifications

• Skills in food service and handling of food and beverages to enable safe and efficient order delivery.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities for interacting effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Understanding or experience in expeditor duties to coordinate timing between kitchen and service personnel.
• Capability to work on-site in Jeddah, requiring standing and walking for prolonged periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety standards related to food service, with a focus on cleanliness and order.
• Team-oriented approach, dependability, and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience within restaurants or hospitality sectors is advantageous; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
