Floor Technician

About the Role

SBM Management is seeking a skilled Floor Technician to ensure commercial and office floors are spotless and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have prior janitorial experience, particularly in floor and carpet care, and will communicate professionally with customers to meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and policies, intervening to stop unsafe behaviors independently or in others.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to complete daily assignments.
• Carry out repetitive cleaning and maintenance tasks with diligence.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in your work area.
• Follow all company procedures and rules accurately.
• Take instruction well and respond positively to supervision and feedback.
• Engage professionally with leads, supervisors, coworkers, managers, and customers.
• Assist in other roles during team shortages, including custodial, recycling, or maintenance duties.
• Support shift leads in finishing punch-list tasks.
• Utilize necessary personal protective equipment for all assigned jobs.
• Maintain a professional appearance and behavior at all times.
• Understand and promote excellent customer service and satisfaction.
• Follow reporting systems and environmental protocols.
• Operate motorized cleaning machines safely and effectively.
• Keep assigned floor areas clean daily, including tile, carpet, and brick surfaces.
• Complete assignments promptly as scheduled.
• Apply chemicals and supplies correctly per approved procedures.
• Maintain and operate equipment properly to ensure safety and longevity.
• Display caution through safety signage such as wet floor warnings.
• Work independently without constant supervision.
• Identify and report any safety hazards.

Candidate Qualifications

• Prior experience in janitorial work is required, with specialized knowledge in floor and carpet care preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and scrubbing machinery is necessary.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Compensation and Schedule

The pay range for this position is $16.50 to $17.50 per hour. The working shift runs from Sunday through Thursday, 10 PM to 6:30 AM.
