Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client, an international private equity-backed technology solutions company headquartered in Dublin and serving multiple European markets, is seeking a skilled finance professional for a newly established Financial Accountant position. Working in close collaboration with the Finance Director, the role is pivotal for financial reporting and enhancing accounting processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the annual budgeting process and manage period-end close tasks, preparing profit & loss statements and balance sheets for multiple entities across various jurisdictions.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of bank reconciliations, oversee payroll preparations, and monitor cash flows effectively.
• Reconcile and report significant costs in profit and loss accounts by business stream, conducting monthly reviews with budget holders.
• Generate financial KPIs by business unit and present monthly performance reports to the Finance Director.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects within the finance department and supervise junior finance team members.

Qualifications & Experience

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA) with over three years of post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrable commercial awareness paired with effective communication skills for liaising with management and stakeholders.
• Ensure all reports and requested financial information are completed accurately and submitted timely, utilizing numerical analysis techniques.
• Proven ability to develop productive relationships both internally and with external parties.
• Exceptional communication skills and confidence in interactions across all organizational levels.
• Aptitude to handle multiple concurrent tasks efficiently.
