Job description
Role Overview
The Field Supervisor will lead and manage teams responsible for field data collection across multiple counties. The role ensures the delivery of accurate, ethical, and timely data for various research and monitoring & evaluation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, plan, and oversee all field data collection operations.
- Provide training, guidance, and quality checks for Field Officers and enumerators.
- Perform spot checks, back-checks, and validate data gathered in the field.
- Engage with community leaders and county officials to facilitate field access.
- Submit daily progress reports and address challenges encountered on site.
- Ensure adherence to data protection laws and research ethical standards.
Requirements
- Must hold a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or related disciplines.
- At least three years of field research or M&E supervisory experience within Kenya.
- Proficient with mobile data collection software such as ODK, KoboToolbox, or SurveyCTO.
- Strong leadership qualities with fluency in English and Kiswahili.
- Willing and able to travel extensively across different counties.
- Possession of a valid driving license is beneficial.
