Opportunity Overview
Join the team as a Field Service Engineer, tasked with overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning activities for Hitachi Energy's high voltage (HV) products at customer locations or project sites. This includes authorized third-party HV products as permitted by company management.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage actively on site visits for installation, testing, and commissioning of Hitachi HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB, and other related equipment as assigned.
- Collaborate with the tools management team by organizing and properly utilizing HV testing equipment and tools associated with Hitachi Energy to execute installation, testing, commissioning, protection, and control of HV products.
- Complete GIS installation processes, including compartment assembly, minor fabrication, troubleshooting, and rectifying defects of HV products at customer sites; advise if further repair is required at company facilities. Provide support to PGHV Service activities both on site and at customer locations.
- Develop proficiency in operating test equipment used for HV product testing and maintenance at various locations including customer premises and company sites. Learn correct tool usage for HV service tasks.
- Support the Project Management team across projects ensuring compliance with all PM requirements and site discipline policies.
- Lead coordination efforts with contractors and subcontractors during service execution, liaising with customers and internal support for resources. Ensure customer approval and documentation of completed tasks such as PAC or timesheets to facilitate invoicing.
- Produce and deliver site reports, prepare activity plans and resource forecasts for submission to Project Managers, line managers, or supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and safety regulations, demonstrating professional conduct both in office and on-site. Promptly report any safety or integrity concerns to management.
- Manage administrative duties including submitting weekly and monthly timesheets, expense reports, and travel authorizations following company guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations, procedures, and standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Have 3 to 4 years of experience working with high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgear systems, protection and control systems in HV switchgear, and associated monitoring and measuring instruments, preferably in industrial or utility settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both verbal and written English and Arabic languages.
