Job Overview

Key Duties

• Cut a variety of meats according to customer preferences and company standards
• Engage customers with knowledgeable advice to enhance their buying experience
• Maintain exceptional hygiene across the counter and packaging areas
• Manage stock rotation and provide product samples as needed
• Receive and handle deliveries, including accurately completing paperwork
• Support promotional activities and assist with daily store operations
• Step in to support the store manager when necessary

Candidate Profile

• Proven expertise in a retail butcher setting
• Strong record of delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales goals
• Familiarity with relevant butchery legal regulations
• Experience mentoring and developing team members
• Confidence in supervisory roles when called upon
• Adaptable, focused on meeting deadlines, and effective under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently using initiative
