About Sephora and the Role

The Data Excellence team is seeking an Executive to contribute to building robust and scalable data solutions, ideal for fresh graduates or entry-level candidates eager to work with data and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, test, document, and maintain SQL-based data models using DBT to support various reporting and analytics functions.
• Convert raw datasets into organized, reusable, business-friendly resources under the mentorship of senior staff.
• Adhere to standard development best practices including version control, code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment protocols.
• Address data inconsistencies, analyze root causes, and assist in deploying maintainable data solutions.
• Create and update insightful, accurate dashboards and reports on BI platforms like Domo and Power BI.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret business requirements into actionable dashboards and data products.
• Validate data outputs and conduct user acceptance testing to ensure reliability and suitability.
• Enhance dashboard experience by improving performance, ease of use, and visual clarity.
• Monitor data quality, maintain trusted data definitions, metadata, and document data lineage.
• Keep clear and thorough documentation of all data models, dashboards, calculations, and routine operations.
• Work closely with senior analysts, engineers, and business units to refine requirements and clarify technical queries.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in SQL and relational databases demonstrated through academic or practical experience.
• Familiarity with data transformation/modeling tools such as DBT.
• Experience or exposure to BI/data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Domo.
• Strong analytical thinking with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, maintainable data solutions.
• Eagerness to acquire new technical skills, understand business operations, and grow via feedback and practical tasks.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate and manage assigned responsibilities independently.
