About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team remotely. In this role, you will prepare and review comprehensive cost estimates for restoration and reconstruction projects, ensuring precision, profitability, and adherence to insurance requirements. Your contributions will be vital to operational success across multiple teams.
Daily Responsibilities
As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the financial and operational outcomes of each project. You will analyze project documentation, validate expense data, and develop accurate estimates aligned with program standards and insurer guidelines. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with project managers, coordinators, and office teams to identify potential scope gaps, address inconsistencies, and improve billing accuracy. Your duties will also include revising estimates based on feedback, guiding junior estimators through mentorship, sharing best practices, and maintaining current knowledge of industry pricing and standards. Your expertise and communication skills will ensure estimates are thorough, credible, and supportive of company goals in quality and profitability.
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in property restoration estimating, construction, or related insurance work
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in construction or similar fields is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with both project teams and clients
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital estimating software
- Proficiency in Xactimate and XactAnalysis with solid knowledge of estimating processes and documentation standards
- Xactimate Level 2 certification mandatory, with the potential to attain Level 3
- Strong understanding of restoration procedures, building systems, and insurer protocols
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered a plus

Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $85,000.
