Estimating Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an Estimating Manager specializing in Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) products who will be responsible for preparing precise cost projections from initial raw material assessments through fabrication and installation stages. This role is essential for crafting competitive and profitable bids to support our GRC manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine tender documents including drawings, specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) to derive detailed quantities for GRC panels, cladding, and architectural precast components.
• Create comprehensive cost estimates encompassing raw materials such as cement, glass fiber, admixtures, molds, as well as labor, overhead production costs, transportation, and installation expenses.
• Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for both materials and specialized tasks.
• Analyze technical drawings to define panel dimensions, mix designs, molding requirements, and reinforcement plans.
• Prepare bid summaries, perform cost comparisons, and propose value engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with teams in design, production, and procurement to verify quantities and specifications.
• Monitor real production costs compared to estimates and maintain updated historical cost data.
• Assist during contract negotiations by supplying detailed cost breakdowns and explanations.
• Ensure estimating records are well-maintained and procedures comply with company standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Three to six years of experience in estimating, preferably within GRC, precast concrete, or façade/cladding manufacturing sectors.
• In-depth understanding of GRC materials, mix design methodologies, and production workflows.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and specialized estimating software.
• Comprehensive knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity takeoff techniques, and cost analysis methods.
• Excellent analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Good command of English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
